FAQ

What equipment do I need?   Like Little League, players should be properly equipped with all gear suited for baseball play. This includes: baseball fielding gloves; baseball helmets; cleats/spikes; protective cup; baseball pants; batting gloves (optional); and a BBCOR or USA Baseball approved baseball bat.

Will I be provided a uniform?   Peninsula Junior League provides each player a jersey top, baseball hat, and socks. Each jersey will be collected from players at the end of the season.

How are teams formed?   After observing players during the Evaluation Day, players will all be placed in a pool and each player will be drafted. The draft will occur within seven to ten days following the draft.  Parents should expect to hear from a coach by the end of January.  Practices should start towards the end of January or the beginning of February.

What is the season schedule like?   Games will be scheduled on the weekends only until daylight savings (March 10th).

Where are games played?    Most games will take place at Ernie Howlett Field as well as George Allen Field on the Palos Verdes peninsula. Click here for field maps.

In addition, games may take place against teams from other Junior Leagues in the South Bay, including Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach.
